Christian Book Distributors (Peabody, MA)
CBD is the leading retail catalog company serving the Christian market. As ISS, I architected a phased strategy for converting an outsourced, off-site e-commerce website into an in-house, on-site one. During the course of the project, I was accountable for all aspects of CBD's web-based business including: project development/management, hardware/software purchasing, scheduling, promotion, content development, staffing (internal and third party). Conducting Internet training seminars for the customer service staff.
July 1997-April 1998 - SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
USWeb Boston Practice (Waltham, MA)
Projects:
WSI Corporation PilotBrief website- Project managed the design and implementation of a subscription only e-commerce weather website product for Airline Pilots. Technology included: Java, Netscape SuiteSpot server, NetDynamics, Oracle8 and custom built applications written in C.
Ethical Culture Fieldston School- Managed the design an implementation of the school's Internet Website. The site is hosted in-house on an NT4.0 server running IIS and includes some javascript.
Saint Vincents Hospital- Managed the design an implementation of the hospital's Internet Website. The site is hosted by USWeb on a shared Unix server (running Apache 1.2.6) and includes some javascript.
ICOMS E-commerce providers- Managed USWeb Engineers providing Unix systems administration work for ICOMS.
Johnson and Johnson Professional Inc.- Architected a phased plan to create and deploy a full-featured Internet website for the Codman division of JJPI.

1995-1997 - INTERNET SERVICES MANAGER
New Mass Media, Inc., (Hatfield, MA)
NMM publishes six alternative weekly newspapers serving 2.1 million readers from Westchester county, NY to Southern Vermont. What began in October 1995 as a project to place the newspapers' film listings on line evolved into a project to create a fully developed online presence for all six newspapers, including some of their main advertisers. The challenge was to come up with a low-cost technical strategy to build the online product with minimal impact on the print product. While working with NMM, my responsibilities included:

o Oversight of TCP/IP connectivity issues for all office locations
